What is 4G, LTE?

4G is the fourth generation of broadband cellular network technology.

The most widely used 4G technology in the world is LTE, so both words in this content are synonymous.

Who can use 4G?

In order to take advantage of 4G, it is enough to have a mobile phone with 4G function and a USIM -  SIM card that supports the new generation LTE technology.

To check 4G support on your SIM card, just send 4G to 2525 short number.

If your SIM card does not support 4G, you can get a 4G supporting duplicate of your number at any nearest Azercell customer service center by presenting this number and national identification card.

My mobile phone and SIM card support 4G, and I am in an Azercell 4G coverage area, but I cannot use 4G. What should I do?

If 4G was not activated on your mobile phone automatically, depending on the operating system of your phone, you can activate 4G mode in the following order:

IOS:

Settings → Сellular → Cellular Data Options → Voice & Data → 4G (LTE)

Android:

You can enable 4G mode on your phone as follows:

Menu → Settings → Additional / Other networks / Other → Mobile networks → Network mode → LTE (or automatic GSM / WCDMA / LTE connection)

What internet speeds will I get with an Azercell 4G connection?

The subscriber who chooses 4G (LTE) will get an average of:

15 Mbps for download, and upload speed up to 5-7 Mbps in Baku, Absheron and 10 Mbps for download, and upload speed up to 5 Mbps in regions.

 In the ideal 4G coverage area the download speed will be up to 300 Mbps, upload speed is 200 Mbps.
