Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program was launched again

Azercell Telecom launches a program that offers new opportunities for young science and technology entrepreneurs. The project will allow the participants to join entrepreneurship-training courses in the US, receive grants for implementation of their business ideas and start own business.
The Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program is a joint initiative of Azercell, Barama Innovation Center and U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation. The main objective of the program, which is conducted for the second year now, is to promote and support technological entrepreneurship in our country.
The project consists of several stages. First, the applicants have to submit their IT, mobile or green tech related business ideas. Authors of selected projects will join training courses and seminars on business strategy development and funding of technology start-ups. During the next stage six finalists will take part in training courses in Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Austin, US. Then, a jury consisting of local and international judges will select three winners, who will receive grants to launch their business ideas.
More details on the program and application form are available at www.barama.az. Only electronic applications are accepted. Applications due date is April 7, 2013.
