Azercell, leading mobile operator of communications market in Azerbaijan, has participated in the next important conference in the country. On October 15, the company joined the 1st Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility conference bringing together leading companies, as well as public and private organizations. The event aims to hold a comprehensive evaluation of the current situation in the country as well as to upgrade dialogue and cooperation among state, private and non-state actors to develop the area. The conference discussed introduction of local and global best practices on corporate social responsibility and the experience of international institutions operating in this field, Creation of prerequisites for the more effective participation and promotion of private companies in social projects through incorporating the CSR Strategy and development and promotion of the understanding of corporate social responsibility in the civil society.
Ulviyya Hasanzade, Corporate Communications vise-president at TeliaSonera, took part as a moderator and Imran Baghirov, Director of Strategic Adjacencies & Customer Channels Department at Azercell, as a speaker in the session of Corporate Social Responsibility activities and its Social Impact on Society. Ulviyya Hasanzade stated that ICT sector acts as a leading force in development and innovation in the world.
Imran Baghirov, Director of Strategic Adjacencies & Customer Channels Department at Azercell, acted as a speaker in the topic of challenges and perspectives for sustainable development of ICT sector in Azerbaijan and underlined projects and innovations presented by Barama and invited businesses to partnership for the sake of sustainable and innovation-led growth.
