Effective October 1, 2026, “Azercell Telecom” LLC will discontinue scratch card top-ups for postpaid numbers as part of ongoing service optimization efforts, given the significant decline in the use of scratch cards by postpaid subscribers.
Prepaid (SimSim) subscribers will not be affected by this change and will continue to top up their balances using scratch cards.
Azercell subscribers can choose from a range of other payment options. Both postpaid and prepaid subscribers can make payments through the Azercell mobile app and the official Azercell website, as well as at banks, post offices, PayPoint terminals and ATMs. Payments can also be made through supported payment apps using VISA, VISA Electron, Cirrus/Maestro and MasterCard/Eurocard cards, or by bank transfer.
Prepaid (SimSim) subscribers are advised to purchase scratch cards only from official Azercell dealers and at the value indicated on the card. When purchasing a scratch card, subscribers should check its validity period, serial number and other relevant information. The card code should not be shared with third parties, and sharp objects should not be used to remove the protective coating.
