Azercell supported more than 4000 families residing in the regions of Azerbaijan!

As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Azercell organized food packages distribution to low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan

 

“Azercell Telecom” LLC, continues its initiatives aimed at supporting and care for low-income and other vulnerable Azerbaijani families during the special quarantine amid COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, in the fourth week of the holy month of Ramadan, the company distributed food packages to 1,000 more socially vulnerable families residing in the regions of Azerbaijan. In total, under Azercell’s charity project, 4,000 low-income families who are in social isolation amid the quarantine period receive food aid during the month of Ramadan. So, residents of Jalilabad, Dashkesan, Fizuli, Ganja, Goranboy, Geychay, Geigel, Hajiqabul, Khizi, Naftalan, Khojaly, Zangilan, Shusha and Kalbajar received food aid from Azercell during the month of Ramadan.

The food packages were delivered to the residents by “Azerpost” LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to the list of low-income families provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that, on the occasion of Novruz holiday and preventive measures against coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, “Azercell Telecom” LLC, in cooperation with “Regional Development” Public Union (RDPU), presented holiday gifts to about 6000 low-income families in Baku with at least one family member receiving a pension for the disability of the first degree.

It is worth mentioning that Azercell employees also joined the company's charitable initiatives. For the past two weeks, Azercell Volunteers, in turn, have visited low-income families and rent food aid to them.

It should be mentioned that Azercell Telecom LLC implemented many social projects and charity events during the special quarantine regime in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
